IMPHAL, Sep 7: The All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) has found Kasom Khullen sub-division of Ukhrul district in a deplorable condition with no proper roads, health and educational infrastructure during an inspection tour conducted by the union on September 3.

A release of the AMSU stated that the inspection team was led by the president of AMSU, Irengbam James Bond Mangang, ex-joint secretary Md. Iqbal Shah Khullakpam and assistant secretary Julie Shinglai.

The team found out that the people of Kasom Khullen have nearly forgotten the presence of a government in the state. The people have been living under the apathy of the state government for the last many years, it said.

The only government high school of Kasom Khullen which has a total strength of 400 students was found in bad condition with no proper classrooms and infrastructure and also lacking required number of teaching staffs, the release stated.
