Life attempt on non-local tea seller

IMPHAL,Sep 9: A non local tea stall keeper narrowly escaped an assassination attempt by some unidentified gunmen suspected to be UGs at Keishamthong Market this evening around 7.15 pm under Imphal West police station.

According to a local eye witness source the incident occurred when the non local identified as Sandeep Shah, 16 years, son of Laxman of Bihar presently residing at Keishamthong Hodam Leirak Junction was preparing to close his hotel shop along with his assitant Prakash this evening. Two unidentified persons who came riding a black colour Honda Activa scooter asked them for a glass of water, and as Sandip was about to offer the water, one among the youth removed a small arm and fired at them once.

Luckily no one inside the hotel was hurt during the firing, and the unidentified youths escaped from the scene on the Honda Activa towards the Hodam Leirak this evening.

In the meantime, in connection with the firing a team of Imphal west police arrived at the spot soon after the firing incident and official complaint and a case has been registered this evening itself and all the non local residing at the same hotel have been picked up by the police this evening and taken away to a safer area.

RPF cautions against deserters

Imphal Sep 9: The underground RPF has cautioned the general public of the state against the increasing trend of unfairs roles that play by the deserters of the outfit.

Stating this the press statement of the RPF signed by one GM Chanjou, Chief Department of of Publicity of the outfit mentioned that, the outfit has been seriously dealt with the recent cerendree drama that have been shown by the security forces in the state by innacting some of the deserters of the outfit who have left the camp due to their unability to maintain their mind.

Taking the recent incident of deserting soem of the cadres from their camps, the outfits has catagorically made an official announcemtn to the general public that, PLA A-No 2935 Private Lanngamba actual name Huidrom Awangamba, 20, son f H Khomei and Huidrom Ongbi Gomti Devi both residence of Sugunu Awang Leikai of 252 Mobile Battalion have been ran away from their camp since January 23, morning this year and they have been officially announced as deserter by RPF.

Further, A-No. 2905 L/Cpl. Lamyanba original name, Haobijam Gyaneshore, 20, son of H Prem and Haobijam Ongbi Sunita Devi both residence of Sugunu Napat Mayai Laikai of PLA, GHQ have also been missing since May 5 night this year from their camp and they were also announced a s deserters by the RPF, the statement added.

The statement also further mentioned that another cadre of the outfit identified as Private Meino A-No 2180 original name Laishram Priyobarta of Chairel Khongnang Leikai has ran away from his work place on August 2, 2005 and he is also announced as deserter from the outfit officially.

The statement further mentioned that, it has been serious concerned for the outfit that, the police and Assam Rifles have been indulged in intimidating the parents and and relatives of the PLA cadres to let their sons and daugther to let surrender by offering huge amount of money, and same has been clearly knew by the outfit, and it has also been knew some of the parents have been swept by the money gagic that have been played by the security forces with an attempt to abolish the true revolutionary activities of the outfit.

The statement keep on saying that, the exsiting struggle for the sovereignty that have been entered by the RPF can never be compromise and the general public of the state have already knew it, and it is beacause of this belief and confidence many revoluntionaries in the state are still truglling without any hasitation and many drama of surrendree can never influence the true revolutionary struggles of RPF the statement added.
