IMPHAL, November 9: Troops of 29 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) apprehended two Myanmarese Nationals from a Maruti van bearing registration No. MN 01K 9863 traveling without proper documents at 1 pm on November 7, 2010 on NH – 39 and. The apprehendees were identified as Ali Joha, 21, son of Md Lalu and Masulman Sadak, 20, son of Masulman Mannobi. All these individuals are residence of Buidong (Myanmar). The apprehendees were handed over to Tegnoupal Police station.
In another incident, troops of 42 Assam Rifles apprehended two drug peddlers from a Maruti Van bearing registration No MN 01W 6412 on October 7, 2010 in Bongyang. The drugs peddlers were identified as Lalu Chouhan, 35 son of Jhedhu and Bhant Chouhan, 24, son of Jawahar, both residence of Ward No. 2, Moreh. 14, 335 tablets hidden in two compartmentalized suitcases were seized from the apprehendees who alongwith recoveries handed over to Tegnoupal Police station.
