IMPHAL, Nov 6: Rich tributes were paid to Rangshong James, founder Principal of Bright Academy, on his first death
anniversary observed today at the premises of Bright Academy, Senapati.
The anniversary was graced by Rev. Z Mairilungbou, executive secretary LNBA (M), MLA K Raina, MLA Awangbou Newmai, friends,
relatives, students and teachers of Bright Academy.
Hailing Rangshong as a great social activist who had tried to bring a radical change in the society, people present at the
function lamented his demise as a great loss for the society. His contributions to the society are enormous and he will
forever be remembered by all, they said.
Rangshong held key posts of various social organizations of Manipur during his life. He was the president of Upper Zeliang
(1978), vice-president of UNC/Senapati (1992-94), president of NPO/Senapati (1998-2000) & (2002-03), vice-president of
Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland) from 2006-08.
