IMPHAL, Dec 20: 17 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) constructed and handed over a new volleyball court to Awangkasom village on December 18 last.
According to release of PRO IGAR (S) the volleyball court was handed over in a simple ceremony that included distribution of sports items to the youth club of the village. A friendly match was also organized with the youth of the village and prizes were given away to encourage the players.
In another occasion, a team of medical officer and paramedical staff of 29 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR(South) conducted a Medical Camp at Shaibol village. More than patients were benefited from the camp. A lecture on Hygiene and sanitation was also delivered by the Unit Medical Officer the release added.
