    IMPHAL, Jan 12: A one day awareness programme on Audio Visual cum Exhibition was held today at the conference hall of the Manipur Network of Positive People, MNP+ Yaishkul Hiruhanba organized by the Bharat Sevak Samaj Manipur state branch in
    collaboration with MNP+ under the sponsorship of Research Extension Centre Central Silk Board, Imphal.
    The awareness programme was mainly aimed for people living with HIV/AIDS to help them in income generation and provided awareness on agro based industries like sericulture, mulberry, silk, oak-tasar and eri.
    Dr K Chaoba Singh, scientist D, Central Silk Board Imphal who attended the programme as the chief guest stated such awareness campaign is needed in order to help the people living with HIV/AIDS in generating their own income and enable them to live independently. He further mentioned that the awareness programme will further help the NGOs working for the betterment of the people living with HIV/AIDS in forming an inclusive Self Help Groups for the inmates of the NGOs.
    The awareness programme was attended by Salam Udita Devi, general secretary MNP+, Dr Biren Rana, Scientist D, Central Silk Board and H Kngjamba Singh, chairman Bharat Sevak Samaj, Manipur state branch as the president and guest of honours respectively.
