IMPHAL, Jan 27: The Up-Adhyaksha of Imphal East Zilla Parishad, K. NilKamal has been removed from the post after the no-confidence motion against him was passed today by other members of the Zilla Parishad.
However, the no-confidence motion against the Adhyaksha of Imphal East Zilla Parishad, P. Bimola has not been passed as all members cast the votes against the motion. Bimola will continue to hold the office for another term of one year as per the existing MPR Act.
The special meeting for discussing the no-confidence motion was held under the chair of A. Ibomcha, member of Imphal East Zilla Parishad, in presence of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Paolun Tuboi.
