IMPHAL, Feb 2: The Bharatiya Janata Party, (BJP) Manipur Pradesh today held a condolence meeting at its office at Nityaipat Chuthek Imphal this afternoon with Sh Shantikumar Sharma, president BJP, Manipur Pradesh in the chair to observe the sad demise of the scholar Padmashree N Khelchandra Singh.
According to a release of BJP, Manipur Pradesh, it has been mentioned that, late N Khelchandra was a real son of soil who had contributed his best in fine tuning history, culture and literature of Manipur. His demise has created a void in the field of history, culture and literature of Manipur which could not be filled up.
The release further mentioned that, the party observed a two minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul, and further prayed that the departed soul of Khelchandra rest in peace and conveyed his family members to share sorrows of his sudden demise, the release added.
