IMPHAL, Feb 2: The person who was killed yesterday by the combine security force of 12 Maratha Light Infantry and CDO Bishnupur at Sadar Joute near Leimaram Waroiching under Nambol police station in Bishnupur was today identified by the family member at RIMS morgue.
He is identified as one district commander of PLA/ RPF Bishnupur district, Athokpam Sunil alias Bokuljao 35, s/o A. Ibotombi of Wangoo Sabal, Kumbi. The body also bore multiple bullet injuries on his head as well as his body from the alleged gun fight between militants and the combined security forces.
According to family members, the deceased recently got married about seven months back and his wife is stated to be pregnant.
Condemning the security force for the killing, the family members also maintained that there have been reports that Sunil was arrested by Indian security forces and severely tortured before eventually killing him. They have also maintained that the family members would have appreciated if only the security forces could have arrested him and put into jail as per the law of the life instead of just killing him in such a manner.
In the meantime, the dead body has been taken back by the family after post mortem at RIMS hospital.
