IMPHAL, March 13: The second round of Bulls-eye Archery Contest was held at Koirengei Airfield today.
A statement of the PIB Defense Wing, said all the young archers put up a mesmerizing display of their archery skills and enthralled the spectators who had gathered in large numbers to witness the contest.
The young archers displayed great maturity and remained focused in their attempt to gain maximum points. Their competitive spirit came to the fore wherein each archer vied to outclass others and to remain in contention for the coveted prizes on offer. Though all the archers put up superlative performances, at the end of the day four boys were eliminated leaving 12 boys and 11 girls to complete in the third round of the competition to be held on March 19.
On interacting with the competitors, one could visibly feel the grit and determination in the young faces and all of them seemed confident of putting up a good fight. They all echoed the same hope and confidence that they will come first in the competition and win the 1 lakh rupees worth first prize which would help them to procure good quality archery equipment which would also help them in achieving their goal of becoming a national champion.
