IMPHAL, Sept 13: The meeting of the Committee on Re-organisation of Administrative and Police Boundaries constituted by the state government held yesterday under the chair of the state chief secretary has decided to conduct a public hearing starting from September 15 at the office chamber of chief secretary at Old Secretariat Complex, Imphal.
According to an official source, the constituted Committee on Re-organisation of Administrative and Police Boundaries has so far held two meetings on September 2 and 12. Information, data and gazette notifications relating to reorganization of districts, constitution of autonomous district councils have been collected and the same are under examination of the committee.
It is also mentioned that, the committee has recognized the urgency, importance and sensitivity of the issue of reorganisation of the districts in the state.
The committee is considering toinvite the public for hearing on the issue so that there will be information, data and suggestions to the committee during the hearing.
The first hearing will be held on September 15 at 3 pm in the office chamber of chief secretary.
On the other hand, any interested person who desires to attend the public hearing should contact the Commissioner Revenue or under secretary revenue during the office hours on working days, mentioned an official announcement of Commissioner Revenue, Government of Manipur.
