NEC planning advisor inspects development projects in state

IMPHAL, Oct 22: Planning advisor of Northeastern Council (NEC), J Lhungdim has arrived at Imphal today to overview various development projects and schemes undertaken by the state government with the funding from NEC.

Soon after his arrival to the state, the planning advisor visited ISBT, Imphal accompanied by chief engineer of PWD and officials of planning department.

Later, the visiting officer convened a review meeting of the ongoing projects for transport and communication with the principal secretary (works) and chief engineer of PWD in the office room of principal secretary (works).

He will also visit Yurembam Power Project at Yurembam on October 25 and will convene a meeting with the principal secretary (power) along with the chief engineer and director of MANIREDA in the office chamber of principal secretary (power).

J Lhungdim will also inspect the construction site of Tribal Hostel at Churachandpur on October 27 and construction site of Churachandpur District Hospital on October 28.

In connection with his official tour to the state, the state planning department has requested the DGP to detail armed security escorts during his visit to various work sites to prevent any untoward incident.
