KNF clarifies on SBI manager abduction charges


IMPHAL, November 27: The Kuki National Front (KNF) today strongly denied allegations about their involvement in the abduction of the manager, SBI Leimakhong branch citing that Henkholen Kipgen alias James Kuki who was reportedly arrested by police commandos in relation to the abduction, is a deserter of the party.

The general secretary of the KNF, Aaron H Kipgen claimed that the report of the head count conducted by a joint team of the AR and state police had reported Henkholen as a deserter from the Ebenezer camp of the KNF.

“Henkholen has no revolutionary ethics and could not abide by the SoO ground rules and hence had been excluded from the cadre head counts. He has no place in the organization and his name does not appear on the latest revised cadre list of the organization. These reports could also be obtained from the concern police station”, said Aaron H Kipgen.

The general secretary asserted that the outfit is not responsible for the deeds of Henkholen and further appeal to the public and the society not to blame the outfit directly for the barbaric act of Henkholen.

“Henkholen is a betrayer and will be dealt with as per the revolutionary law of the front”, disclosed Aaron.

He further thanked the Manipur commandos for timely unveiling the secret plans of arm factionalism within the Kuki society under the leadership of Henkholen. The KNF also express their utmost sympathy to the bank manager and his family for their though times.

The KNF reiterated to the general public and the Kuki people in particular that they will continue to stand as a rock for the safety and upliftment of the Kuki society. Therefore, this act of barbarism against the civil society is not at all acceptable to us, said Aaron Kipgen.
