IMPHAL, December 19: All preparations for the last session of the 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly which will be conducted at the newly inaugurated Assembly building at Chingmeirong from December 20 -22 have been completed.
All administrative segments of the Assembly secretariat have been shifted to the new Assembly complex from the old assembly building. The officials of the Assembly secretariat have completed the maintenance of sitting arrangements of the 12th session of the 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly at the new Assembly building.
Meanwhile, the assembly session will be held under a tight security arrangement. The state authorities have also concentrated a huge number of police personnel from various police stations lying in the Greater Imphal areas and Thoubal and Bishnupur districts near the new Assembly building.
The CRPF will be responsible for all security inside the new complex during the assembly session.
Meanwhile, the first day of the Assembly session tomorrow will begin with an obituary references for deceased Sekmai MLA Dr Borajao, which will be followed by the question and answer hour.
Further after the question hour, there will be a two calling attention motions from the opposition bench.
Later in the day, the Chief Minister will also introduce the Lokayukta Bill in the house.
In the meantime, the Assembly secretariat has issued an office memorandum instructing all its employees to attend office at 9am on all working days during the Assembly session and to remain in the office till the end of the day’s session.
