IMPHAL, April 29: Two trucks loaded with cement and Activa scooters which were found charred at Phulartol under Lakhimpur police station, Cachar on April 27 was bombed by suspected militants, a police said today.
A chassis of one of the trucks was severed in the bombing, they added.
The two vehicles were supposed to leave Assam for Imphal along with a convoy of lorries.
No one has so far claimed the incident. Earlier, the owner of the ill-fated trucks had claimed that they were burned in lightning.
