IMPHAL, April 4: The Minorities Development Forum of Manipur (MDFM) has appealed the recently elected Congress government to appoint a Minority Minister for the road development and water department, as Muslim (Meitei Pangaal) has become the most underdeveloped community among the communities living in Manipur.
Further MDFM stated that, the Muslim populated areas in the state are the worst in development in terms of roads, schools, hospitals, drinking water, and electricity. The badness of the condition of the Muslim (Meitei Pangaal) in Manipur can be assumed after seeing the Muslim Women selling vegetables at the footpath of the three main markets of Imphal City, it added.
