KCP leader shifted to Guwahati jail

IMPHAL, April 5: KCP (MTF) s/s finance secretary Yumlembam Ingo Singh and his companion who were arrested by a National Investigation Agency team from a rented accommodation somewhere along the India-Nepal border on March 22 were today produced before a special court of the NIA at Guwahati and have been shifted to the Guwahati Central jail.

The s/s finance secretary identified as Yumlembam Ingo Singh, 38 a resident of Wangoi Thiyam of Thoubal district, presently staying at Langol in Imphal West, while his companion had been identified as Yumnam Rajesh, 22 from Langol.

The two were arrested by the NIA from a rented accommodation somewhere along the Indo-Nepal border on March 22 during a raid which was conducted after receiving reports about the presence of commander in chief of the banned outfit Naorem Kesho Meitei who managed to escape.

KCP-MTF finance secretary Ingo was involved in the gruesome killing of a father and son who were the caretakers of Irilbung Water Supply at Irilbung in Imphal East a few months ago.
