IMPHAL, April 29: Manipur State Congress Party elected MLA of Sagolband Assembly constituency, Rk Imo decried the alleged murder of Loitam Richard.
He said that the issue needs to be pivoted by the state government and the responsible authorities have to book the alleged perpetrators of the crime under the law.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a reception function organized by Nepra Manjor Pukhri Mapal Youth Development Association (NEMYODA) at Sagoldband Moirang Leirak today evening.
The MLA mentioned that the issue needs to be pursued until and unless justice is meted out so that similar recurrence can be prevented to people hailing from the north east region.
Speaking in regard to his constituency development,he also announced that distribution of PDS items to the deserving persons will be his top priority irrespective of their political inclinations.
“I will not segregate between my workers and others, what we need is holistic development of the constituency”, he said. Apart from that, he notified that other areas including drainage which is another major issue and electrification of the roads will be addressed to within a stipulated timing.The funds from his MLA local area development fund will be handed over in cash to the local clubs, he said.
The reception was attended by Nepram Bihari and Th Chandra Singh as the guest of honor and president respectively. Rk Imo also showed solidarity to the “Justice for Richard” cause and lighted a candle at Uripok Yambei Leikai today.
