IMPHAL, April 2: A three -day public demonstration of science skills entitled “District Level Exhibition and project Competition of Inspire Awardees and Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research” was launched at Bengali High School here on Monday.
The inaugural ceremony of the exhibition was attended by W Rajen Singh, director of education (S), government of Manipur as chief guest and CB Paudyal, additional director of education (S/V), government of Manipur as president.
Speaking on the occasion Director Rajen said, Manipur was formerly very weak in the field of science and technology but now the state is far ahead in the field.
He also said that it was commendable that the students participating in the exhibition are providing information to the visitors on science and technology through their knowledge. He also underlined the importance of science and technology knowledge and encouraged the students to learn more about science.
Rajen also assured that those students who are selected during the three-day exhibition would be sent outside the state for further participation at the national level science exhibition.
