IMPHAL, May 31: 28 Assam Rifles of Sector 9 under HQ IGAR (S) organized a lecture cum awareness campaign on Malaria, Tobacco and Alcohol Abuse at Lilong Haoreibi College today. Around 500 locals including village headman, Meirapaibis, chairman village council, youth clubs, students of college and other civil dignitaries attended the campaign.
In another occasion, 15 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) organized an awareness camp on the occasion of anti-tobacco day at STBNA School, Irong today. More than 300 students and 20 teachers attended the camp.
In yet another occasion, 37 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) organized an awareness program on Prevention of Drug Abuse Lecture at Hengshi village yesterday. More than 63 villagers attended the event.
