IMPHAL, May 2: Former MP and MLA , BD Behring has postponed his fast to death following an assurance from principal secretary( RD and PR).
Briefing media at press club, Majorkhul today,Behring stated that he had given a memorandum to the state Governor Gurbachan Jagat, highlighting the absence of officials in the various departments located in the five hill districts.
However, before the ex MLA started the fast, it was forwarded from the principal secretary on April 30 that all principal secretaries, commissioners, secretaries and directors concerned, Tribal Affairs and Hills have been ordered to issue necessary instructions to the district level officers and staff posted in the hill districts to ensure that they are stationed at their respected places of posting.
The principal secretary also appealed Behring not to undergo the hunger strike.
