IMPHAL, May 30: The district level Subroto Mukherjee football tournament 2012 organised by Imphal East District Youth Affairs and Sports Office begins today at Khuman Lampak, Imphal.
In the first match of the U-17 boys at the Main Stadium, Khuman Lampak, Brighter Academy beat Prim Rose School by 2-1. In the second match Excellent Academy beat Oriental English School by 5-0, in the third match Yourabung High School beat Lode Star Primary School by 3-0, in the fourth match Pabuli School beat Takhel High School 5-4 in a tie-breaker, in the fifth match Keibi High School beat Don Bosco 6-0, in the sixth match North Eastern English School beat Development High School 5-5 in a tie-breaker.
Meanwhile, in the first match of the U-14 boys at Practice Ground, Khuman Lampak, Tampha High School beat Paradise Academy 2-0, in the second match Kid High School beat Andro High School 7-0, in the third match Brighter Academy beat Little Star English School 2-1, and in the fourth match Oriental beat Eastern Ideal High School 6-0.
