IMPHAL, June 8: All Zeliangrong Students’ Union organized a felicitation function for the meritorious students’ at Manipur Press Club today.
The function was attend by Janghemlung Panmei, MLA 53-Tamenglong Assembly Constituency, Dipu Gangmei, MSC, SDO Phungyar and Pamei Tingenlung, president, AZSU (AM&N) as the chief guest, guest of honour and functional president respectively.
Speaking at the function, MLA Janghemlung Panmei, who was present as the chief guest, lauded the students of the Zeliangrong community, who took positions in the recently held Class X and XII board exams and also the students, who received Ph.D. degree in their respective fields.
He also said to the students present, to let’s make Zeliangrong community the community that produces the highest number of IAS/IPS officers and dynamic leaders.
Further, he said that on the World Environment Day 30,000 saplings were planted at Tamenglong district. Let us also make Tamenlong district the greenest place in the world.
During the function, awards were distributed to the students of Zeliangrong Community, who have passed in board exams of Class X and XII with flying colours, and also to those students, who have received Ph. D degree in their respective fields.
