IMPHAL, June 16: A combined team of CDO Imphal East and 30 Assam Rifles under the supervision of M Rajen Singh, MPS, Addl SP (OPs), Imphal East have arrested one PLA cadre from Khurai Popular High School.
According to a police release, the arrested person is identified as Lumpingning Kabui alias boy alias John, 22, son of Rajen Kabui of None Bazar.
On verification, he disclosed that he joined PLA organization in the year 2007 through one Ricky of Lamsang and trained at Burma under army no 2996, the release further said.
He also disclosed that he is now working under the command of 2nd lt Anil of Jiribam and he was involved in extortion of money from the general public, government officials, private farms etc, it added.
