Manipur, IMPHAL, July 30: Nambol Police have recovered eight rare Tokay Gecko reptiles from Kamong Maishram Maning Leikai in Bishnupur district at around 2.30 pm today.
According to sources, the tokay reptiles were brought from Tamenglong district for sale in Myanmar. The forest officials along with Bishnupur police intercepted the tokays, but the poachers escaped from the hands of the police.
It may be mentioned that Thoubal Police have earlier recovered a Tokay Gecko and later released at Keibul Lamjao National Park.
