IMPHAL, July 2: In continuation of the drive launched by State Electricity Department against power defaulters in the state has further collected a total tax of Rs 42,36,094 from unauthorized consumers on June 30 to July 2 from different areas.
The areas covered during the drives includePishum, Kwakeithel, Keishamthong, New Checkon, Patsoi, YurembamMakhaLeikai, Wangoi Makha Leisangkhong Kabui, Sangakpham, Wangjing, Lamding, Moirang Khunou, KakchingMakhaLeikai.
The cumulative achievement as on July 2, a total of 547 defaulters was disconnected and a total of 173 unauthorised consumers were booked by the electricity department.
