IMPHAL, July 28: Vanamahotsava-2012 was celebrated at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre at Lamphelpat today with K Jagadiswor Singh, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forest, Government of Manipur as chief guest and Dr N Prakash, joint director, ICAR Research Complex for NEH region, Manipur Centre as president.
After the inaugural meeting the chief guest and president planted tree saplings in ICAR campus. Afterwards 500 saplings of five species (bokul, treebean, karpur, Gulmohor, Jacaaranda) were planted in the campus.
