IMPHAL, July 2: The Zeliangrong Students’ Union, Manipur (ZSUM) and the Works Minister, Government of Manipur had a talk at the chamber of works Minister along with the MLA of Tamei in connection with the ZSUM ultimatum submitted to the Governor of the state on June 19 over the issue of the construction of Barak Bridge between Dikiuram and Katang. The ZSUM has also submitted chattered of demands before the talk begins, said a ZSUM release.
Earlier, the ZSUM had announced 48 hours total bandh followed by indefinite economic blockade and indefinite ban on construction of trans-international railways project. However, the proposed bandh and agitations has been suspended for time being till the final round of talk is held, it further said.
