IMPHAL, August 24: The All Zeliangrong Students Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) extend heartiest gratitude to all the Zeliangrong brethrens, leaders, students, organizations, politicians, elders and general public who stood by us in bringing the mortal remains of the deceased leader (l) Chunthuigai Kamei (State Secretary, ZSUM) to his home safely.
According to the released, the organization is indebted to the UNC; ANSAM and its federating units; NPMHR; Naga Womens` Union; Zeliangrong Youth Front; Zeliangrong Pui Baudi; Zeliangrong Baudi, Manipur; Village Authority Council, Longmai Area; Bazaar Board, Longmai; Home Minister Gaikhangam; M.L.A. Z. Kikhonbou Newmei; MLA Janghemlung Panmei for extending their help in cash and kind during the condolence and funeral of the deceased student leader.
We also sincerely thanks to S.P. Tamenglong for providing security teams and necessary arrangement in carrying out the mortal remains of the deceased leader, said the released.
It is also appealed to all the educational institutions, organizations, Zeliangrong household and general public to observe the 82nd Death Anniversary of the martyr (L) Haipou Jadonang who laid down his life in the gallows on the zs” August, 1931 at the wee hours of 6:00 a.m. for the noble cause of the Zeliangrong community.
