India have recorded their second straight victory in the on-going Nehru Cup football tournament. At the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi today, they beat Maldives Three-Nil.
Captain Sunil Chhetri netted twice in the 45th and 69th minutes. The other goal was scored by Syed Rahim Nabi in the 53rd minute.
India now top the five-team competition with six points with two wins in as many encounters. Earlier, the hosts beat Syria 2-1 in the inaugural fixture.
