IMPHAL, September 1 : Representatives of Students Federation of India, SFI, Manipur state committee will attend in the forthcoming 14th All India SFI conference to be held at Madurai during 4th September to 7th September.
Salam Pari Luwang, All India central committee member and Md Azad, state secretary left Imphal to attend the conference.
In a statement issued to the press, Azad Khan, secretary SFI, Manipur state chapter stated the duo will address the current scenario of the state, especially those faced by the students community including violation of human rights and ever deteriorating law and order situation.
As a mark of respect and to show solidarity to Irom Chanu Sharmila for her onging hunger strike for the last 11 years to repeal AFSPA 1958, the state representatives will remind and address the matter at the national meet, the statement added.
