IMPHAL, Oct 29: A rice laden truck met with an accident killing a school girl while injuring a mother and child duo this afternoon around 2pm near Korouhanba temple in between Moidangpokpi and Khumbong Makha Leikai under Patsoi PS along the NH 37.
According to the information culled from the spot, the rice-laden-truck was heading from Jiribam.
The victim school girl, reading in class 6 at Divine Light School, has been identified as Polem Surjabala daughter of P Deven from Moidangpok Maning Leikai.
The injured mother and child duo has been admitted at the Shija Hospital and presently kept under intensive care unit.
According to another source, Surjabala was admitted to RIMS after the accident but succumbed on at RIMS. The source further maintained that the decease Surjabala is one of among the topper in her class.
