IMPHAL, Oct 31: A film screening at BOAT this late evening disrupted by angered audience at around 10pm.
Angry audiences broke speakers, threw chairs after the premier film show of Manipuri digital film ‘Hiktharaba Shamlang’ mid-show following a permit issue.
According to information culled from the spot, some police personnel came to the venue and asked the show organiser to turn-off the premier show as the permit was only upto 10pm.
The film is produce by make-up artist Jenny and directed by Romi Meitei.
An audience said such incidents are unfortunate and is an outcome of the organiser’s negligence. The cost of the ticket is said to Rs. 100.
The damage could amount to be Rs 1 Lakhs, said a source.
