CM Ibobi condoles Allaudin

IMPHAL, October 16: State Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has expressed his condolences on the the demise of former Minister Md Alauddin Khan today.

In a condolence message, the state Chief Minister has expressed his deep pain on demise of the former Minister.

It said, “Md Alauddin Khan was a man of great political vision who worked for the upliftment of the poor and the downtrodden”.

“He will always be remembered for his dedication, sense of public service, innate simplicity and honesty”, the condolence message read.

In his death the state has lost an excellent political leader, it continued.

The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee in a press statement signed by its president, Gaikhangam has also expressed heartfelt grievance on the demise of the former Minister.

It has said that the former Minister demise is a great loss to both the Congress party and the people of the state.

Others have also sent in their condolences. The Manipur Minorities & OBC Economic Development Society, MOBEDS has also expressed sadness over the death of the former minister.

The Member Secretary, officers and staff of the MOBEDS observed a two minute silence at its office complex today as a mark of respect to the late Md Alauddin Khan a former Minister of MOBC & SC and former Chairman of MOBEDS.

It has further acknowledged the immense contribution of the former Minister towards the development of the minorities, OBCs, SCs and poor masses of the state.

The All Manipur Students’ Union, AMSU has also joined in to condole the demise of former Minister and former AMSU vice president Md Alauddin Khan.

A statement has said that late Md Alauddin was the vice president of the student body in 1980.

The Imphal East District Congress Committee and the Keirao Block Congress Committee has also sent in their separate condolences.
