The seminar is being organized by the Forward Artistes Centre En-Camped (FACE) under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture (CFG).

Deputy Director, Art and Culture W Mera Singh inaugurated the seminar as the chief guest.

Speaking during the inaugural ceremony, W Mera Singh said that ‘Lai Haraoba’ is a part of our culture which was always strictly maintained and protected by our forefathers.

Prayers were never held after nightfall in the old days, he said.

However this day’s our youths have forgotten about all this rules and culture which is because of the lack of discipline among our society.

Prayers have become a mockery in today’s society, he continued.

He also maintained that every movement of the body during the ‘Lai Haraoba dance’ has its own meaning.
