IMPHAL, Oct 14: The proposed ‘strike’ called by the Joint Coordinating Committee of Engineering Departments, Manipur, to be commenced from October 17, has been postponed to commence from October 22, said a release of the committee.
At a meeting in the office chamber of the Deputy Labour Commissioner cum Conciliation Officer, Govt of Manipur, including chief Engineers of the Engineering Departments of Manipur, the Deputy Labour Commissioner has suggested the representatives of the JCC to give time of 2-3 days to communicate the concern authorities of the government, on which the JCC agreed to postponed the strike, it further said.
