IMPHAL, October 24: A combined team of CDO/Imphal East and 43 Assam Rifles on Tuesday around 4:15pm arrested one PULF (MI Khan) cadre identified as Md Anish Khan, 26, son of Md Ajad Khan of Keirao Makting Makha Leikai from Kongba near Standard College Gate, said a police release.
On verification, he stated that he joined PULF (MI Khan) organization in the year 2009 under army No 3158 and now working under the command of S/S major Md Amu Khan of Keirao Idiga and he was involved in extortion of money from the general public, govt. officials, private firms etc, the release said.
Further, today at about 7:35 am, a combined team of CDO/lmphal East and 30 Assam Rifles arrested one RPF/PLA cadre identified as Kshetrimayum David Singh alias Ranjan, 25, son of Ksh Nityaichand Singh of Nungoi Litan Makhong from Sawombung Bazar near waiting shed, it further said.
One 9 mm Pistol loaded with four live rounds in the magazine was recovered from his possession, it said.
On verification, he stated that he is an active member of RPF/PLA organization and joined the said organization in the year 2007 through (L) S/S Copl Loya and (L) S/S lance corporal Surjit respectively and trained at Taka in Myanmar in the year 2009 under army No 3085 and he is now working in urban area, it added.
