IMPHAL, November 1: A press meet was convened today by All Manipur Students’ Guardian Origination at its office at Palace Compound in regard with the rape incident of a school girl allegedly by a state police personal and his friend singer cum actor.
Speaking with media persons, adviser of the organization, N Tombi said that the sense of security in a society is very important and we all need to maintain it. All sections of the society should condemn the heinous crime committed by the two and appealed the state Home Minister and Education Minister to look into the case with some sense of seriousness.
He further said their organisation will take any crime committed to any student seriously and will fight for the justice of the student.
He also appealed to the investigating officer of the rape case to submit the charge sheet report at the soonest to punish the culprits without delay by understanding the sentiments of the students as well as general public of the state.
He further appealed to all the advocates in the state not to filled any bail plea for the two accused during their Jail time as an under trail prisoner.
