Masked men looted election papers, alleged Principal

IMPHAL, Nov 21: Two masked men have forcefully looted a laptop and student election related papers at gun point from the Principal’s room of the Lilong Higher Secondary Madrassa around 2:30 am today, said the Principal of the Madrassa.

Speaking to the media persons, Principal of the madrassa, Md Isalaudin said that the school’s Chowkidar Md Wahiddur Rahaman informed him that two men came to the school and knock on the door while he was asleep and as he opened the door, the two mask men with a gun forcefully blindfolded him and tied his hands and threatened him not to shout.

He said that the two mask men entered the Principal’s room and took away an Aser laptop along with a bag, election documents of students, and a cash amount of Rs 25 thousand which was deposited by the 14 student candidates of the college which was kept in the almirah.

The robbers seemed to have master keys as both the almirah and the drawer were not broken, he added.

The Principal suspected that some individuals might have done this thing to disturbed the election proceeding and file a case regarding the incident to the Lilong police station

Regarding the incident, staffs of the school along with various student organisations of the state, guardians of the student and local elders of the surrounding area held a meeting and made a resolution that the election will be held tomorrow as per schedule and to work collectively to find out the person involve in it and condemn the act of the mask men.
