Zenith Academy founder receives recognition from Aligarh Alumni

IMPHAL, Nov 22: Staffs and students of Zenith Academy, Sangaiprou today felicitated the school’s founder member S Manaoton Singh on his receiving recognition from the Aligarh Alumni Association, Inc, New York.

S Manaoton had yesterday received a plaque, shawl and citation from the non-profit educational and charitable organization, which he received through the post.

According to the letter of recognition from the Aligarh Alumni Association, S Manaoton has been recognised for his dedication to the student welfare and the special care he had provided to Mohammad Ismat.

The simple felicitation programme was held today at the school.

Meanwhile when asked if the school has received the Rs 10 lakh as announced by the state government, the founder said both CBSE class XII All India topper Mohammad Ismat and his school Zenith Academy are yet to receive the Rs 5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh respectively announced earlier on two occasions by the state Education Minister M Okendro and his Chief Minister during separate occasions.

He further lamented that the government has failed to keep its assurance even though when it comes to other fields like sports it is fast to act.

He said it is assured that there will be a player from the state in the next Olympic, however there is no assurance about when the next Ismat will come out.
