Combined headquarter meeting to review present law and order

IMPHAL, December 4: Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh will chair a Combined Headquarter Meeting at his Secretariat on December 8 at 11am on the issues of the prevailing law and order situation in the state and on the upcoming ASEAN car rally.

A reliable source have also added that the December 3 state Cabinet meeting had reviewed the present law and order situation in the state and decided on the meeting.

The state cabinet was also concerned about the security measures for the upcoming car rally, informed the source.

The meeting will be attended by heads of the army, Assam Rifles and other security forces both central and state including GOC 57 Mountain Division, IG (L&O) CRPF Manipur and Nagaland Sector, DIG (Ops) BSF Manipur and Nagaland Sector, state DGP, Principal Secretary (Home).

The meeting will also be attended by state Home Minsiter Gaikhangam and Chief Secretary.

It is also learnt that Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh had also chaired a meeting today which started from 3pm and lasted for about an hour at his Secretariat regarding the security provision and route of the ASEAN car rally.

The meeting was also attended by the state Chief Secretary, Army and AR representatives and the Principal Secretary (Transport), the source added.

Sources informed that today’s meeting was held under the direct instruction of the Union Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
