Passing out parade of new jail recruits

IMPHAL, December 31: New Jail recruits comprising of 4 Head Warders and 61 Warders totaling 65  trained at the Manipur Police Training College (MPTC) had their Passing out Parade today. The function was graced by Addl.DGP (Prisons) M.K.Das as Chief Guest and Director, MPTC P. Doungel besides other police and prison officials.

Family members of the trainees also turned up to witness the momentous Passing out Parade.

Addl. DGP M.K.Das exhorted the newly recruited Jail personnel to work sincerely as they shoulder the highly important task of looking after prisoners in the state correctional facilities. M.K.Das also stated that all vacancies will be filled up through recruitment in 2013 so that the Jail can function more effectively.

The best trainees were awarded Commendation Certificates in which Warder Letkhongam Guite was adjudged as Best in PT, Warder R.K. Sanajon Singh was awarded for Best in Drill, Warder Longingani Kamei for Best in Discipline and Head Warder O.Bobson Singh as Best All Rounder. The 8 training staff of MPTC were also awarded Commendation Certificates for their excellent work in imparting training.
