IMPHAL, December 12: Thoubal district commandos during a search operation this morning have seized banned drug, Pseudo Ephedrine worth about Rs 12 crore from a Maruti van along the Aimol Road, Pallel.
According to the police, the seized banned drug Pseudo Ephedrine were of 1, 67, 330 strips with a strip containing 10 tablets each.
The seized consignment belong to Hathoi Haokip alias Hoisi alias Hoinu, 30, wife of Lunminthang Haokip of Pallel Bazar, informed the police.
The tablets were found inside a Blue colour Maruti van bearing registration number MN-04A-5450, police said.
The van owner has been identified as Helkhomang Haokip, 66, son of (L) Lunkhoson Haokip of Pallel Bazaar Aimol Road.
The seized drug is worth around Rs 12 crore in the international market and the police are further interrogating the woman, police said.
