IMPHAL, January 5: Keirao Kendra MLA Thamarjit Karam today convened a meeting to discuss regarding the projects under Multi Sector Development plan (MSDP) at SIRD hall, Imphal East DC office.
The meeting was attended by Imphal East DC RK Dinesh, Assistant Commissioner Rangitaballi Waikhom and Zilla Parishad, Pradhan, Members and villages representatives of Keirao Kendra.
MLA Thamarjit Karam said the meeting today was called specially to discuss on how to apply for projects for the development of minority concentrated areas in Keirao Kendra under Multi Sector Development plan (MSDP), Government of India.
The MLA informed that a meeting of the MLAs was also held earlier and there is another meeting that will include line department officials on January 8.
The today’s meeting was convened in an aim to collect the inputs on what to add and what not to add in the project program by providing a platform to the villagers to address their needs and hence to provide full advantage of the project, the MLA said.
A Guwahati based farm has also conducted a survey and their priority list includes Pucca houses, drinking water facility, sanitary latrine and employment generation. Regardless, the meeting is being called to make sure the villagers get want they wanted in the project program.
The MLA also asked the villagers to submit the requirement of their respective village in details within two to three day so that it can be discussed further at the meeting to be held on January 8.
The MLA further said that the DC has also given his assurance that the said project will be launched soon and appealed the people of his constituency to co-operate.
