Boot camp for journos on environment

IMPHAL/DELHI February 3: A `Boot Camp- Where Journalism meets environment` is being organised by the Centre for Science and Environment, New Delhi at the CSE campus beginning from February 01, 2013. 11 Participants who came here from different parts of the globe: India, Bangladesh, Nepal will be exposed to nuances of environmental reporting during the 15 day long training program.

This was said by Sharmila Sinha, Deputy Prog Manager CSE in an exclusive chat with Shobaraj Yumlembam, IFP Reporter yesterday.

At CSE there is a classroom with projectors, whiteboards, flip charts, etc with all course participants will have access to the common room, wireless internet connectivity has been provided, she continued.

There will be classes on various topics, taken by various trainers including freelancers, editors of different newspapers, magazines during the course. During this period, the participants will get the chance to interact with them and discuss all sorts of topics, and try to grab as much knowledge as possible at the end of the day, Sharmila added.

Certificate of Participation will be awarded to those candidates who maintain full attendance, and have enthusiastically participated in all course activities, including in-class presentations, readings and discussions, individual and group work, together with the efforts made in the course assignments. The participants will also be taken for field visit trips during the course of the boot camp.
