Grenade attack at Pharmacy

IMPHAL, Feb 16: An unidentified person suspected to be a militant lobbed a hand grenade at the Navjeevan Pharmacy at Thangal Bazar today at 12:15pm creating panic amongst bazar goers.

The grenade explosion partly damaged the pharmacy but there was no injury casualties.

According to Rajen Jain, the owner of the pharmacy originally from Rajasthan, there were no casualty since there were no customers inside the pharmacy at the time of the attack.

He was talking to one of his employees when the attacked happened, he informed.

He said there were no intimations or monetary demands from any outfit prior to today’s grenade attack.

The attacker was wearing a half pant and a white jogging top, however soon after lobbing the grenade he took off his jogging and ran away through the galli adjacent to the pharmacy, the Pharmacy owner said.
