IMPHAL, Feb 28: A 14 year old girl student riding a cycle on her way to school was killed in a road accident at Lairenjam Mayai Leikai inter village road under Nambol police station after she was allegedly hit by a truck bearing registration no MN-0/5C-0517 from behind this morning at around 9:30 am.
The victim has been identified as Pebam Hemabati alias Abecha ( 14) daughter of P Boinao Singh of Nambol Mamang Leikai. She was a class X student of Mekola Suranjoy English Academy. She succumbed to her injury at RIMS at around 10:30 am.
A case has been registered by the police in regard to the incident and the truck has also been seized. The dead body was handed over to her family after a post mortem was conducted at RIMS morgue.
