KANGPOKPI, March 15: The Kanggui Town Committee has expressed its doubt over the poor pass percentage in HSLC and HSSLC examinations this year in respect of the Kanggui Centre. This was disclosed today  by Chonkam Kipgen,Chairman KTC.

The KTC Chairman while concerning the irregularity of power in the town during the ongoing HSLC and HSSLC examination said that this year the pass per centage of the said examination in respect of Kanggui examination centre might be very low comparing to those in the past year and said that if such a thing happened, the power supply department will be solely responsible for it.

Chonkam mentioned that, the town got only 2/3 hours of power in a day which is not sufficient enough for a student to prepare for an important examination like HSLC and HSSLC Examination. Even during the said 2/3 hours frequent shutdown for every  2/3 minutes in a regular interval of time becomes cause for disturbances for the student.

Mention may be made that for the last  2 days, there has been no power supply in the town.

In a strongly-worded statement, the KTC Chairman blamed the Power Supply Departmnent of neglecting the student community and the general public of the town.

He further stressed that, the power supply dept. must take up every possible means to supply power at least for 10 hours in a day during the ongoing examination in the interest of the student community.

Chonkam also disclosed the irregularity of Kanggui Division electricity deptt.officers and staff in their attendance.
