Aid for Noney fire victims

IMPHAL, April 12 (NNN):  Tribal Youth Council, Manipur (TYCM) and Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long(Tangkhul Youth Council), All India Tribal Students’Association and Society for Protection of woman and Children paid a visit to  Noney Bazar where a recent fire had razed down about 50 houses.

According to the tribal youth leaders, deputy chief minister Gaikhangam donated 200 bags of rice, 50 blankets,100 kgs of sugar,100 kgs of dal, 300 kgs of potato, 50 kgs of salt, 50 rice pots, 50 curry pots, 50 kettles, 50 plates, 50 bowls, 50 spoons, steel glasses, mugs, 50 water containers,  50 buckets,  and Rs 1 lakh in cash.

Apart from that, Gaikhangam has assured the people of Noney a fire brigade station. The tribal youth leaders also said that Tamei MLA Kikonbou donated a sum of Rs.50,000, Tamenglong MLA Janghemlung Panmei also donated Rs. 50,000, Asin Panmei ADC member Rs. 20,000 and Tamenglong deputy commissioner  C. Arthur too donated Rs. 50,000 to the victims.

Tolkham Maring, president of the Tribal Youth Council, Manipur donated a sum of Rs. 500 and Ningkhan Shangh who is the president of Tangkhul Mayar Ngala long (Tangkhul Youth Council) donated a  sum of Rs. 2000.

Apart from that the tribal youth leaders assured to volunteer themselves to the Longmai Bazaar Board Executive and the victims of the inferno to open a  relief donation booth in collaboration with the Longmai Bazar Board and some like minded social organizations in Imphal.
