Imphal: A road mishap yesterday at around 2.30 pm near Pheidinga Lamkhai under Sekmai police station left one personnel of 10 Assam Riffled dead and another five injured including one personal of 41 AR. All the injured personnel have been shifted to the Leimakhong Army Hospital for treatment.
The convoy of 10 Assam Riffles` vehicles was heading towards Imphal from Dimapur along the national Highway Number 2 when it met with the accident upon reaching Pheidinga Lamkhai.
The personal who died on the spot is identified as Rifleman number 5011195 Komtong Mosang and the other personnel who were injured in the accident are identified as Rifleman Ram Prasad, Nathu Singh, Ram Prasad Dharma, Ravindra Paswan, all 10 Assam riffles personnel and Riffleman Saban Singh of 41 Assam Riffles.
The post mortem of the 10 AR personal was conducted at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences today.
